Bend Senior Photos
This wintery wonderland at Shevlin Park was the perfect setting for Victoria’s Bend senior photo session. I don’t often shoot portraits in the winter but after this session I want more winter wonderland sessions! It was worth the cold fingers and wet feet.
Victoria was such a good sport on this cold November day. For her senior session she wanted several looks – one natural, pretty look (jeans, cute boots and sweater), one athletic (running shoes, leggings, and Nike hoodie), and one classy yet edgy look (she nailed it with her cute dress, black combat boots, and leather jacket. By the time we got to the third outfit, the temperature was dropping and we were getting quite cold, especially Victoria in her dress! I think Victoria nailed her session, wintery weather, freezing temperature and all!
Senior Photos – Outfit Inspiration
You can tell Victoria put a lot of thought into her three outfits and was smart to accessorize with a vest and colorful scarf that added layer and dimension to the images. She pulled off three completely different looks flawlessly.
Shevlin Park Bend, Oregon
Shevlin Park is always a top choice for portrait sessions here in Bend for several reasons. It has several different feels to it with its’ diverse landscape – woodsy, pine forest, the Aspen grove (Aspen are my favorites trees and there are not many of them here in the high desert), there are a couple of different bodies of water; with the fishing pond and the stream running through the park. Another favorite part of Shevlin Park is the availability of different light. You can be shooting in the park before sunset and get a nice diffused light before sunset as much of the park is below the hills and then you can go on the trail above to get the golden light of sunset, and yet again a different landscape of golden grasses and sage brush, with some bonus views of the mountains.
To the beautiful, Victoria, thank you for being so fun and brave with the cold weather during your shoot. You are amazing and I hope you had as much fun as I did during our session! Thank you for having me as your photographer for your Bend senior photo session!
