Studio Headshot Photography
Gwen Shoemaker is a professional portrait photographer, based in Bend, Oregon, specializing in headshot, personal branding and family photography. The great thing about studio headshot photography is the ability to control the light and the weather! Basically, studio sessions can go on as planned, rain or shine, no matter the weather. While I love shooting outdoors in the incredible landscape that Bend has to offer, studio sessions have their place especially in the winter and early spring when the temperature is low and the paths are covered in snow or ice. The last thing we want at a portrait session is red nose from the cold.
A studio session can be added to any portrait session including headshot, personal branding, family, or senior portraits. After hearing your goals for your session, I can recommend one of two studios here in Bend that we can utilize for your session. For Lyndsay’s fabulous studio session we utilized Twin Creative Studio in downtown Bend.
For her session, I wanted to create a mix of images that showcased her outgoing, energetic, playful personality as well as her powerhouse entrepreneurial spirit.
After spending over a decade (15 years to be exact) photographing weddings and love stories, my photography path evolved and led me to develop a love for portrait photography. Through my years in the wedding world, I developed a keen eye for detail, an easy-going style which makes “posing” feel natural and a true to life editing style. Whether I am playing in a forest with a young family or working with a badass entrepreneur in the studio the importance of my job does not go unnoticed. My goal is to create images that is a piece of art worthy enough to hang on walls, be shared across social media or proudly utilized on a business website to build a brand.
