Winter Family Session at Sno Park in Bend

Family walks hand in hand across a snow packed trail at a Sno-Park near Mt. Bachelor.

This family session took place on a chilly, winter day at a Sno-Park just outside of Bend, Oregon and I have to say this family. As a local Bend photographer I don’t have many winter sessions, as most prefer the warmer months for photos but they sure are beautiful and I feel worth it. I had worked with Annie several months prior and captured the milestone of her senior year with a senior photo session. When Mom reached out to book a family portrait session I was thrilled. Her one request was she wanted snow for their winter family photo session. After a couple reschedules due less than ideal rainy conditions our schedules and the weather gods aligned. The winter scene was picture perfect!

We drove outside of Bend to a favorite Sno-Park and had fun playing in the snow. Some of us may have enjoyed the experience more than others but in the end everyone was a good sport. The family’s color palette of red, navy and cream was the perfect pop of color against the snow covered trees. Right as we were headed back to the car the sky opened and it began to snow pretty hard. Don’t forget you’ll need a parking permit for the Sno-Parks around Bend. You can find more information Sno-Park parking permitsĀ here.

I love the family dynamic captured in this photo. LOL.

Fun family photos full of personality.
