Brasada Ranch Dark and Moody Elopement Inspiration (Featured on Oregon Bride Mag 2021)
Today was the perfect, mild, winter day and I had the sudden urge to pop on some music and blog this magical, winter (blustery), dark and moody set of images from an inspired elopement at Brasada Ranch in Powell Butte, Oregon.
Brasada Ranch is an luxury resort here in Central Oregon and one of the top wedding venues in Oregon. In fact, it won “#1 Wedding Venue in Oregon” 3 years in a row by Oregon Bride Magazine and it certainly is perfect for any wedding any time of the year.
Moody Inspiration to Create Those Romantic Vibes
Last year, Bree of The Indigo Bride and I teamed up with a set of A-M-A-Z-I-N-G vendors to create this romantic and moody alternative wedding inspo. Bree was the mastermind behind it all and I absolutely love the little touches she selected such as the black matte and with touches of chrome table setting decor (mini disco balls?! heck ya!) to the Lovestruck sign by Brite Lite Tribe. I think every wedding reception or photo corner could utilize a unique neon sign. Heck, I want one for my house…
Fabulous Florals
What can I say about the floral arrangements by The Posie Shoppe?! Michelle absolutely nailed it. . . again. She created works of art with the ceremony floral pillars that appeared to be organically growing out of the ground. I love her unique (and easy) pocket square boutonnière to the gorgeous table runner for the head table with dreamy shades of pink and dusty purple roses.
Our couple had killer style, and it was NOT your typical bridal attire, thanks to Sweet Caroline Styles and The Black Tux. So edgy and bold! I loved the combo of the long sleeved lace body suit with the black skirt. Romantic and so flowy in the winter wind we had the day of the shoot. A little wind can really create some drama (in a good way!) and movement in the photographs. The bride’s hair and make-up was by the talented Cassidy Elise.
Can you spot Bree’s signature installations below? She also owns The Indigo Party and creates one-of-a-kind, whimsical balloon installations in a rainbow of colors to make your event even more memorable.
It was wonderful to be a part of this shoot and we hope it provides inspiration if you are planning a wedding of your own. Those rich pinks and deep matte blacks, with chrome and velvet accents all work together to create a very moody, romantic, modern twist that may be just the right vibe for those couples looking for an alternative to your “traditional” wedding decor. Create a wedding that is perfectly YOU!
It was so great collaborating with all the TALENTED local vendors and AMAZING brands below. If you are planning a wedding or elopement here in Central Oregon or beyond I highly recommend everyone listed below.
