Mt. Bachelor Engagement Session
On a beautiful, sunny winter day in Central Oregon, this fantastic couple, Brent and I ventured up to the mountains to create some magic and capture Kristen and John’s love during their winter engagement session. These two are the epitome of an “adventurous couple”. They met while working in Antarctica, traveled to some epic locations around the world, worked in the Arctic, got engaged in Iceland and are now packing up their lives and driving from Maryland to Alaska to start this new chapter of their lives. They sure know how to live life to the fullest, am I right? Kristen and John have some great travel stories and have experienced some great adventures together. My kind of couple! Any guesses on where their wedding will be?
As we drove to find some snow and mountain views, we stopped along the way to make some photos. Kristen and John were so fun and easy going… I think that is why we are great friends. Hands down my favorite part of the day was when the sun had set and we ran down the snow packed (closed) highway to capture that last light, snow machines passing us as they were heading in for the evening. Oh, and to make it more epic we had some bubbly and some colored smoke to make the images a little more dynamic and playful. Mt. Bachelor and Broken Top (my favorite mountain in Central Oregon) looked might fine during golden hour and as the light dipped below the horizon especially with these two in front of the camera. Since Kristen and John love nature and are so adventurous having these mountains as a backdrop was absolutely perfect.
